Man arrested after controlled buy leads to nearly 5 pounds of meth in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man was arrested after a controlled buy led to police finding nearly five pounds of meth.
Court records stated that investigators initiated a controlled buy, in which they saw and identified 40-year-old Robert Salianas buying and selling suspected methamphetamine.
On Thursday, investigators obtained a search warrant for Salinas’ house near South 16th and Washington streets. While watching the house, police saw Salinas exit the house with a backpack and head to a location near 1600 Windhoek. Police contacted and arrested him.
According to court records, police searched Salianas, who had prescription medication for another person, two baggies containing 6.2 grams of suspected meth, and $500. In the vehicle, police found 2,249.8 grams of suspected meth, 28 grams of marijuana, 143.2 grams of THC wax, two 1000 milligram TCH seed and vape cartridges, and various drug paraphernalia.
At Salianas’ house, police found 119.6 grams of suspected meth, 17.7 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and 223 grams of THC gummies.
Salianas was charged with one count of possessing over 140 grams of meth, one count of possessing between 28 to 139 grams, and possession of money while violating drug laws.
Salianas’ bond is set at 10% of $750,000. His next court appearance is May 5.
