Police investigate Friday night shooting in Buffalo’s Lovejoy neighborhood

Buffalo Police are investigating a shooting that happened Friday night.

The call to police happened shortly past 8:30 p.m. Friday. Officers responded to a shots fired call on Bogardus Street, east of Bailey Avenue in the city's Lovejoy neighborhood.

When officers arrived, they found a male — no age was immediately provided by Buffalo Police — "suffering from a suspected gunshot wound." That person was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center to be treated.

Police did provide information as to where the person was shot or the severity of the injuries.
