New Norwegian Cruise Line ship begins Caribbean season from Miami
A brand-new cruise ship just sailed into the “Cruise Capital of the World,” bringing a fresh vacation option for cruise travelers in need of a Caribbean escape. After welcoming her first passengers in Italy for a transatlantic voyage, Norwegian Cruise Line’s new Norwegian Luna arrived in Miami on March 23 to kick off her inaugural Caribbean cruise season.
From April through early November, the ship will sail seven-day eastern Caribbean itineraries to destinations including Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Norwegian’s recently enhanced Great Stirrup Cay in The Bahamas. In November, the ship will transition to seven-day western Caribbean itineraries, visiting Roatán, Honduras; Cozumel, Mexico; and Harvest Caye, Norwegian’s private resort-style destination off the coast of Belize.
Here’s what cruise vacationers can expect on board the brand-new Norwegian Luna.
